Marie de Ganay (b. 1993, France) is an independent curator and art worker based in Brussels. Her practice weaves together curating,  coordination and production of cultural projects and writing. 

Her research begins with the intimate, dwelling on relations between humans and the more-than-human: what it means to live alongside one another, to tend to each other, and to practise deep listening - in the sense understood by Pauline Oliveros - as a form of attention to the world. She approaches curating as a collaborative space of experimentation, where interdisciplinarity, care and emotion become situated methods.

Marie de Ganay has worked with KANAL – Centre Pompidou (Brussels), the KIKK Festival (Namur), the Pavillon (Namur), Le Delta (Namur), Espace Croisé (Roubaix), the Collection Famille Servais (Brussels), L’Été des Serpents (Arles) or the Swiss Church (London).

She is a member of B.A.O. (Bureau des Affaires de l’Ombre), a Brussels-based collective and resource and mutual aid structure for artists, through which she has also collaborated with La Malterie Arts Visuels (Lille), the Atoma Art Center, Les Ateliers Mommen, ISELP, La Loge (Brussels). Marie de Ganay is also part of the curatorial duo erreur fondamentale.

Marie de Ganay holds a Master’s in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a degree in Cultural Management from ICART (Paris).
